Alchemy International has specialised in the development and preparation of hydroglycolic extracts of exotic herbs for cosmetics applications. We have particular strengths in the areas of preparing extracts based on Oriental and Indian medicinal herbs.

• the ratio of glycol to water is varied to that most appropriate to maximise and stabilise the extracted phytochemicals.
  
• although the normal extraction solvent is aqueous propylene glycol, extracts can also be prepared in 1,3-butylene glycol or aqueous vegetable glycerol.
  
• for each extract we provide a specification/data sheet providing details of ethnobotany, traditional medicinal uses and a list of known phytochemicals, and an appropriate Safety Data Sheet.
  
• samples can be made available for laboratory trials.
  
• the extracts are NOT FOR MEDICINAL USE - they are intended for use only as cosmetics ingredients.
